Research/Clinical Interests and Expertise:
Health Professional Education: Development and evaluation of innovative delivery systems and assessment methods for health care education. Social/Cultural: Assessment of the effects of race/ethnicity/culture on health care outcomes.
Biosketch:
Dr. Graciela Armayor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences and the Site Coordinator for NSU-COP in Tampa. Dr. Armayor received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 1987 and a Master of Science Degree in Health Professions Education from Nova Southeastern University in 2006. She completed a joint clinical residency in Internal Medicine/Cardiology at the University of Florida and the Gainesville Florida Veteran's Administration Hospital 1988. She has been is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist since 1996. Dr. Armayor has practiced as in a number of clinical settings in Florida and Georgia as a clinical pharmacist and clinical coordinator. She has been a faculty member at NSU-COP since 1990 and has lectured on a number of different topics. She currently lectures on cultural issues in health care and is the creator and coordinator of the Hispanic Health Course. Dr. Armayor's current research interests include development and evaluation of innovative delivery and assessment methods for health care education and assessment of the effects of race/ethnicity/culture on health care outcomes.
