Biosketch: Dr Nieves has twenty six years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in R&D and technical operations in various capacities in the US and international. He has research and development experience in large and small organizations, brand and generic drugs, and in solids and liquid dosage forms. He directed the development and manufacture of many drugs that are in the market today, is the author of one patent in pharmaceutics and acts as independent scientific consultant in drug development for the industry. He joined NSU (Ponce site) in January 2008 to conduct teaching and research in the areas of biopharmaceutics with emphasis in novel drug design and new technologies. |
