Biosketch:
Daniela Fernandez, Pharm.D. (’18) joined the Department of Pharmacy Practice at NSU College of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor in July 2020. She completed two years of post-graduate training, first at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL, then at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL where she specialized in critical care.

Since coming to NSU she has immersed herself in scholarship and teaching activities. Her PGY2 research project, “Correlation between thromboelastography and standard coagulation tests at a community hospital” was presented at the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s Critical Care Congress and published in Critical Care Medicine as an abstract. Additionally, she serves as a co-investigator on a grant funded by the Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Fernandez teaches students in the classroom and through direct clinical instruction in adult trauma critical care at Broward Health Medical Center. In the classroom, she has taught topics such as introduction to critical care and shock syndromes.
