Biosketch:
Dr. Santibañez received her doctorate in pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in 2015. As a fourth-year pharmacy student she completed the 6-month Advanced Clinical Experience Program through Jackson Memorial Hospital (Miami, FL), an intensive program intended to prepare students for post-graduate residency training.

Dr. Santibañez completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago (Chicago, IL) in 2016, followed by a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (New York City, NY) in 2017. Prior to joining the faculty at NSU COP in January 2021, she was an Assistant Professor at Larkin University College of Pharmacy (Miami, FL) for 3.5 years. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy with a clinical practice site focused on ICU outcomes at Memorial Regional Hospital (Hollywood, FL).

Her research interests include hemostasis and reversal of anticoagulation, antimicrobial stewardship in the intensive care unit, and pharmacist burnout. She is active in local and national organizations within pharmacy and critical care, and she was recognized as a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) in January 2024.
