Yuleika De Castro has joined the College of Pharmacy as Associate Director of Communications and Alumni Relations. She is responsible for formal communications to students, faculty, staff and alumni. This will include the SharksRx Magazine, SharksRx Newsletter, social media and alumni relations activities.
Prior to joining the college, De Castro served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Alzheimer’s Association. In that role, De Castro increased the Association’s visibility in the community through securing media coverage by pitching stories to the media, designing marketing and communications campaigns via traditional mediums as well as digital media. She also served as the organization’s local spokesperson.
De Castro earned a Master of Business Administration degree in management from Keller Graduate School of Management with a dual concentrations in Marketing and Project Management and bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida Atlantic University with a minor in sociology and a certificate in ethnic studies.
De Castro is fluent in both English and Spanish, has hosted major market radio shows. |
