Biosketch:
Dr. Jose Valdes is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy (NSUCP) in Palm Beach Gardens, FL where he focuses in the areas of neurology and neuropsychiatry. After earning his PharmD from NSUCP, Dr. Valdes completed a one-year pharmacy practice residency at Baptist Healthcare in Pensacola, Florida, and a second one-year psychiatric pharmacy practice residency at NSUCP. His research interests include the treatment of epilepsy as well as neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric conditions. He currently practices at Boca Raton Regional Hospital with the neurology team and psychiatry consult service, as well regularly providing lectures to the NSUCP therapeutics classes and various electives. Dr. Valdes has presented and spoken at various state, national, and international forums and has most recently authored a case on autism and another on epilepsy for the first Pediatric Pharmacotherapy casebook.
