| Dr. Mamta Pansuria joined the Nova Southeastern University Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy (NSU-COP) as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in July 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University and her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from NSU-COP. With more than 20 years of community pharmacy experience, Dr. Pansuria's professional interests include nonprescription medications and self-care, medication therapy management (MTM), substance use disorders, immunization services, and expanding community pharmacy practice through test-and-treat and collaborative practice initiatives. She is licensed to practice pharmacy in Florida and Pennsylvania and holds a Florida Consultant Pharmacist license. Dr. Pansuria coordinates the first-year Nonprescription Drugs and Self-Care course and Pharmacy Skills Development I Laboratory. She teaches a wide range of self-care topics, including pain and fever, respiratory, gastrointestinal, dermatologic, ophthalmic, oral, and women's health disorders, as well as opioid overdose prevention and naloxone use. In the skills laboratory, she instructs students in prescription dispensing, medication devices, aseptic technique, vaccine administration, and patient counseling. Dr. Pansuria’s dedication to student success has been consistently recognized, with annual nominations by the first-year Pharm.D. class for the Golden Apple Award since 2019. She received the 2022 Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching and currently serves as Chair of the College of Pharmacy Admissions Committee. | |
